“Fitted carpets have re-emerged as symbols reflecting the identity of a place. We always look for the material that is best suited to a living space.”
In order to enable customers to navigate through the variety of choices offered for sale, PINTON meets the requirements of the T-ICCO (International Carpet Classification Organisation) quality label for 100% wool or 80% wool and 20% polyamide fitted carpets. The label provides information about the quality of the carpet, relying on three criteria: resistance, comfort and durability. The label is awarded upon completion of laboratory testing. Carpet wear is measured both on a structural level and according to the visual appearance and density of the pile. PINTON’s traditional fitted carpets are produced using an artisanal hand-tufting technique: the canvas is stretched on a frame, and the pattern is then reproduced by hand (to a scale of 1:1). The thread arrangement is performed manually using a tufting gun on the reverse side of the canvas. PINTON also offers a large selection of machine-manufactured carpets suitable for all budgets.
