From June to September 2018
Ateliers Pinton are pleased to host, in their Parisian showroom, the “Etel Adnan & Eugénie Paultre” exhibit. Please come and discover the works of art by these two artists. One rug and four tapestries, all hand-woven in the PINTON workshops in Felletin. Eugénie Paultre and Etel Adnan regularly work together on joint literary and artistic projects.
Etel Adnan (b. 1925 in Beyrouth) is a Lebanese-American writer and visual artist. Her writings have been published in several languages and she has written poetry in French and in English. A self-taught artist, attracted to tapestries and ceramics, she discovers painting at the age of 33. Her works have often been shown in the United-States – particularly in San Francisco- but also in the United Kingdom, Morocco and Lebanon.
Eugénie Paultre (b.1979 in Paris) is a French artist, poet and philosopher. Following philosophical studies she teaches at the Sorbonne University from 2007 to 2011. She exhibited her paintings in 2011 in the Galerie Arnaud Lefebvre and published her first book of poetry in 2012. That same year she produces “Autoportrait by Simone Fattal and “Motion” by Etel Adnan (Documenta 13) at the Galerie Arnaud Lefebvre and in 2014 she participates in the Art Paris Fair.
