Under the 18th-century moldings in the dining room of this Versailles townhouse, interior design agency RMGB chose a modern tapestry woven in the purest Aubusson tradition. Guillaume Gibert and Baptiste Rischmann, the agency’s founders, turned to PINTON, experts in the field for decades. In fact, the company has a tradition of working with the great artists of its time, combining traditional know-how with trendy products.

The two architects opted for one of the works designed by French artist Roger Mühl. This tapestry, made in the workshops of PINTON, depicts a pond surrounded by vegetation in shades of blue and grey, punctuated by white and orange touches. Like a reminder of the garden of the house it faces, it is wonderfully enhanced by the nudity and whiteness of the room, infusing it with an atmosphere of softness and tranquility.
